Livestock Insurance,
Made Accessible
VetOS is a SaaS workflow facilitation platform that digitises cattle insurance operations — enrolment, inspection, policy management, and claims — for brokers, agents, and insurers across India.
Digital AI-Enabled Cattle Insurance
— End to End
VetOS digitises the end-to-end workflow — connecting field veterinarians, brokers, agents, and insurers through a single paperless platform. No insurance is sold or recommended by VetOS.
Cattle Insurance Workflow
VetOS digitises the end-to-end cattle insurance workflow for brokers and agents — managing farmer enrolment, documentation, KYC, and policy lifecycle in one platform. VetOS does not sell or recommend any insurance product.
Field Veterinary Inspection
Certified field veterinarians conduct on-farm cattle inspections using our GPS-enabled mobile app — capturing Body Condition Scores, photographs, and ear tag details for accurate, auditable underwriting records.
Digital Policy Document Delivery
Policy certificates issued by the insurer are securely stored, transmitted to farmers via WhatsApp, and tracked throughout the policy lifecycle — with a complete audit trail maintained on India-hosted cloud infrastructure. VetOS transmits documents only; policy issuance is performed solely by the licensed insurer.
Multilingual Farmer Communication
All farmer communications are delivered via WhatsApp in the farmer's own language — from enrolment confirmation to policy details and claim updates. No new apps, no paper forms, no office visits required.
FPO & Partner Network Support
VetOS integrates with Farmer Producer Organisations, rural distribution networks, and community partners to operationalise workflows efficiently at scale across Indian states.
Claims Workflow Support
When a loss occurs, VetOS provides the digital workflow infrastructure for the claim process — structuring documentation, coordinating field inspection scheduling, and keeping all parties informed of status updates. All claim decisions are made solely by the licensed insurer. VetOS does not assess, approve, or reject any claim.
Intelligence Built
Into Every Step
VetOS uses machine learning and computer vision to bring actuarially sound risk assessment and robust fraud detection to livestock insurance — making it viable for insurers to serve smallholder farmers at scale.
AI-Powered Risk Scoring
An ensemble of gradient boosting models and a computer vision model analyses each animal's breed, age, Body Condition Score, GPS location, and inspection photographs to generate a mortality risk score at enrolment. This enables fair, data-driven premium calculation rather than flat-rate pricing that disadvantages healthy animals.
Claim Fraud Detection
Machine learning models cross-validate claim submissions against enrolment data — comparing GPS coordinates, photo metadata, ear tag records, and reported cause of death against historical patterns. Anomalies are automatically flagged for human review before a decision is made, protecting insurers and honest farmers alike.
Computer Vision for Cattle Assessment
A fine-tuned computer vision model analyses inspection photographs to independently assess Body Condition Score and screen for visible signs of disease — providing an objective second opinion that supplements the field veterinarian's on-ground assessment and strengthens the underwriting record.
Explainable AI for Regulatory Compliance
Every AI-generated risk score is accompanied by a plain-language breakdown of which factors drove the score. This ensures full transparency for insurers and enables IRDAI audit review. The AI provides supporting data only — all underwriting and claim decisions are made solely by the licensed insurer.
Insurance Updates
on WhatsApp
Farmers across India already use WhatsApp every day. VetOS meets them where they are — sending important insurance updates in their own language, without requiring any new app or paperwork.
Simple. In Your Language.
No Paperwork.
A farmer in a remote village should not need to travel to an office or fill out forms just to know the status of their insurance. VetOS brings every important update straight to the phone they already carry.
Messages are only ever sent after the farmer has agreed to receive them. Any farmer can stop at any time by simply replying STOP.
Messages are sent in the language the farmer is most comfortable with — Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, and more.
No message is ever sent to a farmer who has not first agreed to receive it. The farmer is always in control of what they receive.
VetOS sends only what matters — policy documents, claim updates, and renewal reminders. No promotional messages and no unsolicited content ever.
How It Works
A straightforward journey from farmer identification to insured cattle — coordinated through WhatsApp and verified by a licensed field veterinarian.
Farmer Identification
Eligible farmers are identified through partner FPO networks and field distribution channels. An introduction is shared via WhatsApp in their own language, initiating the enrolment workflow.
Consent & Verification
The farmer confirms their interest. VetOS records consent and facilitates KYC verification digitally — no paper forms or office visits required at any stage.
Vet Inspection & Enrolment
A certified veterinarian visits the farm, inspects each animal, assigns ear tags, and captures GPS-tagged photographs using our offline-capable mobile app. AI models independently assess Body Condition Score and flag any anomalies from the inspection data.
Policy Issued & Claims Supported
The policy certificate issued by the insurer is delivered to the farmer via WhatsApp. In the event of a loss, VetOS coordinates the claims workflow — keeping all parties informed at every stage.
Built for Compliance
VetOS is designed from the ground up to meet India's insurance, data protection, and cloud sovereignty requirements.
IRDAI Compliant Operations
VetOS is a workflow platform. All insurance products on the platform are owned and underwritten by IRDAI-approved insurers, and distributed by IRDAI-licensed brokers and agents. VetOS does not sell, solicit, or recommend any insurance product. Complete audit trails are maintained per IRDAI guidelines.
DPDP Act 2023 Compliant
Farmer data is collected only with explicit opt-in consent. Aadhaar numbers are cryptographically hashed — the raw number is never stored anywhere in the system. Non-consenting records are purged within 30 days as required by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
India Data Residency
All farmer and insurance data is stored exclusively on MeitY-empanelled cloud infrastructure within India. WhatsApp messaging is delivered via an India-hosted official Meta Business Service Provider. No farmer data leaves Indian soil at any point.
WhatsApp Business API
VetOS sends WhatsApp messages exclusively through an official Meta-approved Business Service Provider. All message content is reviewed and approved by Meta before use. Messaging is limited to transactional insurance communications only. Farmers can opt out at any time.
Fair Practice Guidelines
Distribution partners and financial intermediaries in the VetOS network operate in accordance with RBI fair practice guidelines. Financial data is never requested or stored by VetOS — only the minimum information required for workflow operations is used.
Data Security Standards
All data at rest is AES-256 encrypted. All data in transit is protected by TLS 1.3. Access to farmer data is governed by role-based permissions enforced at the database layer. Suspected breaches are reported within 72 hours per DPDP Act 2023 obligations.
